Hi YouTuber or visitor! So you want to know what cosmopolitanism is?

Chauvinism = Patriotism, Nationalism, Fascism, Sexism, Racism
is extreme and unreasoning partisanship on behalf of a group to which one belongs, especially when the partisanship includes malice and hatred towards a rival group.

1. What is culture? When a group follows specific guidelines of behavior.
2. What is a nation/patriotism? When a group tries to isolate from another group through little different believes on how a society should work.
3. What is a sex/race? When a group tries to isolate from another group. They usually try to find genetic differences that have an influence on someone's outward appearance.

But, what do these differences mean? Are they absolute? No, they are ALL relative. In fact, there are NO differences, but people try to create differences to be "better" than others. This feeling of being better than the other one is called Chauvinism. Chauvinism shows up in form of Racism, Sexism, Nationalism, Fascism, Homophobia, Religious radicalism/fundamentalism, AND patriotism.

Cosmopolitanism does not tolerate those imaginary borders.

• We already destroyed most economic borders (Trade organizations: ASEAN, Mercosur,.. ).
• We have success with uniting nations (EU).
• We even created an organization that works as a substitution when a nation's judicial organ is not able or fails to judge over criminals (ICC).
• And the future reveals that cultures an ethnicities will mix and form a big new cosmopolitan society.

There are many other non-governmental (NGO) and governmental organizations with cosmopolitan intentions, however if you really want to meet cosmopolites, google for the keywords Global Citizens Movement or World Federalist Movement.

Diese Stadt hat schlicht und einfach eine unglaubliche Anziehungskraft auf so gut wie jedem Menschen, der je von dieser Stadt gehört und die Stadt auf Fotos oder in Filmen gesehen hat.


Mit dieser Stadt verbindet man vorallem Einwandererfamilien, zurecht, denn so gut wie alle New-Yorker haben einen ethnischen, ausländischen Hintergrund. :-) Keine Stadt ist Bunter.

36% der lebenden New Yorker sind außerhalb der USA geboren! Zur Info: In der Stadt (nicht in der Metropolregion) leben 8,2 Mio Einwohner. Also sind fast 3 Mio. Einwohner außerhalb der USA geboren.


Ideale Bedingungen damit sich in den Köpfen der leute Kosmopolitismus ausbreitet und das ist auch tatsächlich der Fall. So gut wie jeder (gesunde) Mensch, ist offen für Neues und die Welt oder wie es die US-Amerikaner sagen, "liberal". Aber wie Kosmopoliten tolerieren auch sie nicht alles, weil sie sehr wohl wissen, wie gut es ihnen in einer freien westlichen Demokratie geht und diese Freiheit ist ihnen sehr wichtig, deswegen auch "liberal". Nicht verwechseln mit der politisch liberalen Haltung, weil man auch in sozialdemokratischen und konservativen Staaten frei sein kann.
Zuletzt bleibt nur noch gesagt, dass New York City in meinen Augen eine gelungene kosmopolitsche Stadt ist, zu der jeder Mensch schauen sollte. Zu schade, dass nicht ganz USA so ist.
